  • ABOUT ME
  • Sara Lee
Sara Lee asked me to research the French coffee culture and then facilitate a brainstorm session afterwards. The goal was to come up with concepts for instant drip coffee.

The final result lead to a patent by Sara Lee so I can't show it here.

  • Peripheral eBooks
"E-books don’t exist in your peripheral vision. They do not taunt you to finish what you started."

A lover of books, I was triggered by this quote to see if I could design E-books to serve as conversation starters or nudge you to finish reading them.

  • Keep in touch
The idea is that I could use an occasional nudge to help me stay in touch with distant friends. So once in a while, when I press Compose, Gmail would auto-fill the To: box with a suggestion. It would indicate how long ago it has been and place the last email below. Hopefully this should prompt me to think 'Sure, I have 5 minutes to catch up' and otherwise I can just press 'Clear suggestion' and write the mail I was about to. Notice the new sidebar on the left. You can press a name in that list any time to enter the same Suggestion mode.

  • Raph and Tal's Choice
Raph and Tal’s Choice is a quarterly compilation of music that my friend and I have recently discovered and loved. It is dedicated to the ‘working mass’: people that do not always have the time to keep in touch with the latest greatest. The music typically ranges from indie rock to the occasional electronic music, singer/songwriters and even some emo pop, which we all should hate but secretly love. We also often publish elaborate music reviews when the mood strikes us.

  • Photography
I recently got into photography with a Nikon D5000 and would like to become good at it. My favourite subjects of photograpy are (inadvertent) strangers on the street.

  • Design Swap
Being a student, I often concluded that design books are frustratingly expensive.
My solution: launch a collective (design book) library with my fellow students.

Each participant types in the books he owns, upon which he can request to borrow
any of the other books available on Design Swap. Simple as that.
